Colin Moses

CEO

Born in the UK to parents of Carriacou and Grenadian heritage. Colin was touched by the extreme devastation that hurricane Beryl brought to the island of Carriacou, Grenada.

Having worked in the recruitment industry for a number of years, he reached out to a number of contacts made in the industry in an effort to raise money. After many discussions and contact with his childhood arch nemesis Marvin Fraser, Windward Aid was born.

The initial goal of the organization was to help in the immediate aftermath of hurricane Beryl in providing immediate relief and supplies to those in need.

However, with the increasing prevalence of weather catastrophes in the region, the organization has evolved its mission to help as many affected countries in the region wherever and whenever they occur.

These examples underscore the broader vulnerability of the Caribbean, where economies are heavily susceptible to natural disasters

The recurring nature of these events highlights the urgent need for regional resilience planning, disaster preparedness, and international cooperation to mitigate the impacts. Windward Aid is invested assisting the region for the future in climate adaptation, infrastructure strengthening, and community education.
